VERY SENSITIVE KNEES AND SHIN?
ok,
i used to be a very good cross country runner. best in my year in fact but i have been getting worse and worse by a considerable amount. the only thing i have noticed is a big lump beneath my knee cap and yes i have researched it and it isn't cancer! but anyway when i touch it or when i touch my shins it really hurts and when i play soccer if i get kicked in the shin it hurts like crazy (even with pads) and im down on the floor for 2 minutes or so writhing in pain!!
has anybody experienced this before and know a cure or know any anti bio-tics or something. or maybe just information to way it may be??? i am very concerned by i would wish to take up karate soon but it is holding me back!

BTW have a look at my other question about my fingers and see if you can shed any light on them because they are they frustrating!!

Well i can only talk to you out of experience but i cannot exactly tell you what it is.
That ball you are feeling is called your Tibial Tubercle .. it is where your patella tendon is attached into your shin.
I had my right Tibial Tubercle moved to the inside of the shin... do a search on Tibial Tubercle fractures.. if it continues, i highly recommend you to go and see a Orthopedic Surgeon.
